Background
The UNEIF Accelerate Entrepreneurship Challenge is a global initiative under the UNEIF Youth and Women Entrepreneurship Portfolio. It aims to empower entrepreneurs, startups, MSMEs, SMEs, and large companies driving innovation, job creation, and sustainable growth across the world.
- Support youth and women in applying business solutions to global challenges.
- Promote startups, MSMEs, and established companies that create jobs and sustainable value.
- Address unmet needs in underserved or emerging markets.
- Strengthen value chains and inclusive business ecosystems worldwide.
Introduction
UNEIF invites entrepreneurs and enterprises of all sizes to apply for grants of up to USD 1,000,000. Eligible applicants include legally registered startups, MSMEs, SMEs, and large corporations demonstrating innovation, scalability, and community impact.
- Grant capital between USD 50,000 – USD 1,000,000.
- Access to global technical assistance and governance support.
Eligibility Criteria
- Legally registered entity.
- Privately owned and managed (not government-operated).
- Provide valid registration documents and ID verification of principal owners.
- Demonstrate financial accountability and capacity to manage funds.
- Clearly show measurable economic or social impact.
Application Requirements
- Be in good legal and financial standing.
- Present a budget not exceeding USD 1,000,000.
- Demonstrate sustainability and job creation potential.
- Obtain relevant certifications, licenses, or insurance if required.
Proposal Review Process
Applications are evaluated in two phases: Phase I (initial screening) and Phase II (detailed review). Only shortlisted applicants will advance to Phase II.
- Impact: Potential to improve livelihoods or address major challenges.
- Innovation: Original and scalable business model.
- Sustainability: Ability to continue beyond UNEIF funding.

- Completed application form.
- Certificate of incorporation or registration.
- Proof of ownership and management structure.
- Recent financial reports or audited statements (if available).
